Video has become extremely important as you can showcase your products or services and did a user to see how your products are actually used. There’s an awful lot you can do video to educate and entertain your customers or readers. Many website owners have found video so powerful that they have created websites based off of their videos and many of the East have earned enough money to leave their day jobs and focus solely on their websites and videos.
One other thing is do not overdo the usage of images and video. Else your website will look cluttered and be hard to follow. The last thing you want is for a customer to come to your website see it looking too cluttered and technical and then leave to go somewhere else to find what they’re looking for. You want to build a website that grabs the customer’s attention and keeps them there. Also too much images or video will slow down the page load speed for your website and this will turn customers away.
4) Use of keywords and analytics
As we all know keywords are very important to ranking and site traffic. To make sure your pages rank for the correct keywords use certain keywords a few times through out the content of the page, but do not overdo it. 3 to 4 times per page is good. You don’t want to go over that because that could be considered keyword spamming. you can use more than one keyword per page but don’t use more than three and always have one main keyword.
The main keyword should be one that you choose by doing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) like I’m describing here. If you don’t do the proper research and implement your keywords properly then the search engines like Google, Bing and Yahoo will assign keywords themselves and they may not be the ones you want. The best way to do this is to use a tool like the online Google external keywords tool.
Surf the internet with complete privacy and remove all restrictions on internet usage regardless of what country you are in!
This tool is free to use and you can easily search for keywords that have traffic related to terms that you want. And you should use your website analytics to figure out what’s working and what’s not. Some analytic tools are free like Jetpack site stats that comes with WordPress. You can also use Quantcast and W3counters. The best advice here is to use several different types of analytics. Because you’ll find some give you other information you can’t get in others.
I myself use both Jetpack and W3counters together for each of my sites. Jetpack shows me how many clicks to advertising or links I am getting from my content. This quickly tells me how successful my website is a snapshot. You will find that content you think doesn’t work may work and stuff that you think won’t work may work amazingly. The only way you’re going to tell is to use analytics and see where traffic is coming in from, what pages they prefer, and where they’re going or what they’re doing.
5) Use an easy to use checkout
This is something I can’t stress enough. There are many different checkouts available out there including custom unique ones. Google has a checkout, of course everyone knows about PayPal, and there’s all sorts of other ones. Why reinvent the wheel with a custom one when you can use something like PayPal that everyone in every country knows how to use and is comfortable with? Make sure you use PayPal to capture the most sales and revenue possible (by the way, they are the best service at processing and fighting charge-backs).
6) The importance of blogging and posting
This is the age of Web 2.0. Customer interaction is of the utmost importance nowadays. for a business to be successful on the internet you need to be able to communicate with your customers in a way that they like and appreciate and nowadays that involves blogging and writing content. Do not do what some people do (like the majority of authors on websites like Ezinearticles.com were they rewrite each other’s content a thousand times or more and flood the website with poor quality content).
