Best ever broiled lobster tail recipe!

I got some lobster tails from Compare Foods the other day. They had them on sale for $3 per pound and I figured I hadn’t had them in a while and so, why not? This time, instead of the usual boiling (which is how most people cook lobster tails) and serving with butter, I wanted to try something different. I had heard from a friend of ours that broiling lobster tails takes them to another level – I soon found out they weren’t kidding!

So this is the recipe I used:

Best Ever Broiled Lobster Recipe
(the frozen lobster tails were slowly thawed in the sink in luke warm water.)
1) preheated the broiler on my oven.
2) placed aluminum foil on a baking or cookie sheet.
3) cut the top of the lobster shell lengthwise with kitchen scissors. This allows the butter and seasonings to more fully coat the lobster meat.
4) Spread the shells to allow better coating with the seasoning.
Seasoning:
a) 1/2 cup of butter
b) two pinches of salt
c) two pinches of pepper
d) a squirt or two of lemon juice
e) 1/3 to 1/2 teaspoon of ground paprika
5) season the lobster meat fully. Make sure every part of the exposed meat is seasoned.
6) Broil the lobster tails in the oven for 10 minutes. Be careful not to burn the lobster meat.

Below you can see pictures of the lobster tails on the baking sheet. You can see how I cut them straight down the middle. Don’t use a knife to do this as you can easily cut yourself. The first picture is prior to broiling. The next three pictures are of the lobster tails after broiling and ready to serve and eat – don’t they look super yummy!
