My husband Thomas was placed on medicines by his oncologist for his terminal cancer about 6 months ago. He has been on these medicines to date and these medicines require that he have monthly blood tests. So the blood work was done in office and then sent out to LabCorp to get the results. normally this would be fine, but in several cases here LabCorp completely messed up the results and we were required to have more tests done and LabCorp kept right on billing even when the error was theirs.

Several of these test results they had the patient number wrong, the wrong tests were done or there were results that were indeterminable. In two cases they mixed up my husband’s blood work with another patient’s bloodwork. In each of these cases the error was on LabCorp. Due to these errors the tests had to be redone and more blood work was required. you would think because of their errors that they would not charge for the test results with the errors. That was not the case as they billed for every single test result.

LabCorp messed up results for blood work tests and yet we are still being billed for their mess up!

Because of these errors on the par of LabCorp our insurance denied covering many of these lab tests and results. So now LabCorp has sent us to collections for these erroneous test results they did. I refuse to pay for their errors and will take this to my state attorney generals office if I have to.

When they call to try and collect for these erroneous tests and results that they loused up they tell me they are going to ruin my credit and they must bill for all work performed regardless of the results. That is absolutely ridiculous as we had had numerous tests repeated because of their bad or erroneous results.

Since the switch there have been zero errors and something else – lower costs and bills. Quest Diagnostics can do all the same tests LabCorp does but I have found their prices are less then half of what LabCorp charges. So it is quite clear that Lab Corp. is a complete ripoff.

They are already located in your doctor’s office so you really don’t have a choice or are not told you have a choice. I looked into this and found that LabCorp made some illegal underhanded deals with doctors offices so they can be located in the house and get all of their lab test business. Then, once they’re located in the office they increase their prices to twice that of any other lab service.

This is not only unfair but it’s also actually illegal and unethical business practices. This is why laws were made that pharmacies cannot be located inside a doctor’s office. LabCorp is doing the same thing. They are severely limiting a patient’s options for lab work and increasing the costs while decreasing their care and effectiveness or performance. The patient is basically getting ripped off with higher prices and low quality results.

This is worthy of an antitrust investigation by the FTC as LabCorp is a huge nationwide business and is actively traded on the NYSE stockmarket (ticker symbol LH). They messed up my husbands bloodwork test results. They overcharge when compared to other similar lab testing companies (by over 50% in every case)! They are illegally located inside doctors offices across the country – this needs to be looked into by the FTC.

I already reported LabCorp to the FTC will they need more than one report to start an investigation. They need a pattern, so if you’ve been ripped off by LabCorp, and I’m sure there are thousands of you out there that have had this happen to you as I can read tons of complaints online about LabCorp, then please forward your complaint and especially addressing the fact that they’re located illegally inside of doctors and physicians offices so that the FTC can start an investigation and block LabCorp from ripping off patients and being located inside doctors offices (or in-house as it is commonly referred to as.)

There is much news on LabCorp and their unethical and illegal business behavior – it dates back 20+ years and even after numerous multi-million dollar settlements they are still behaving in the same unethical and illegal manner – ripping off consumers left and right and even ripping off the government and Medicare and Medicaid!

I just paid for my first summer class at UNCC – $766.66. There isn’t much I can do about the tuition at UNCC and the fact that it just keeps on increasing every year. The good thing is that I’m only a few classes away from being done here, graduating and moving on. But one thing I could do something about was the price I pay for my textbooks.

I used to be able to depend on Bob and Ted’s low-priced textbook rentals every summer to save a bundle over the school bookstore and Greys across the street. The UNCC school bookstore charges ridiculous prices on everything and is a complete ripoff. Grey’s, which is right across the street from the school, isn’t a whole lot better. Right now in North Carolina we are not asking for them to legalize marijuana for everyone. Marijuana is far less hurtful or harmful than OxyContin. So physicians and doctors should be allowed to prescribe marijuana for their patients if it is so deemed necessary. Marijuana is more effective than any other drug in treating mental trauma, post traumatic stress disorder (like many of our veterans have), Cancer, depression, epilepsy, wasting disease, HIV and AIDS, etc…

The list of medical diseases and disorders that can be effectively treated with marijuana is very long and growing due to recent research. Yet, if they’re in one of the other 17 states that have approved marijuana for medical purposes then they don’t get in trouble and they keep their veterans benefits. Is this fair? Should our crooked politicians and corrupt companies like the drug and pharmaceutical companies that sink billions into lobbying in Washington DC to make sure marijuana doesn’t become legalized be allowed to determine what medicines are doctors can prescribe for us regardless of if there is better medicine out there?

We need to stand up and make a difference. I did some research on the Internet and I wanted to buy a cell phone that was reasonable in price. I wanted to take advantage of the Wal-Mart cell phone plan through T-Mobile. For this plan I just need a gsm compatable phone that accepts sim cards. After some research I found that the HTC Imagio xv6975 would be an ideal phone.

The HTC Imagio was, according to reviews and write-ups online, very reliable and a good solid smart phone for the money. At Amazon.com the HTC Imagio 6975 was going for $170+ new and $140 or so used. I looked it up at Ebay and found a few that were cheaper. I ended up buying a refurbished one from ebay seller bidallies for $100 with free shipping and handling. The item was reported to be in great condition and fully functional. This seller also had over 90,000 feedbacks from buyers with a 99% positive feedback ratio and was a top rated seller on Ebay.

I bought an HTC Imagio xv6975 from Ebay seller bidallies and got ripped off big time!

I figured that since they had over 90,000 customers and a 99% positive feedback for those customers that this would be a safe transaction and that I would be pleased with my purchase and save money at same time. I figured I could not go wrong here plus eBay has their buyer protection policies (Ebay Buyer Protection). So I was covered regardless, right? Wrong.

At first things were fine. Then I started getting e-mails telling me my shipment was going to be delayed. At first I was okay with this, but then one week turned into two weeks which then turned into four reeks and so on. I finally got my phone around 5 and a half weeks after I ordered it. That was unreasonably long for shipping time. then when I opened up the package I found it to be in a completely different condition than as reported in the eBay auction listing.

The auction listing on eBay clearly stated that the item was in almost brand-new condition. It said there might be one or two minor scratches, but that you would have to look really hard to find them. It also said the phone was in 100% working order. The HTC Imagio 6975 I was sent was heavily scratched and the edges looked like someone had drug it along the road on asphalt. It was in really rough condition. also one of the buttons was not functioning.

The rightmost button on the bottom did not work. This was the hang up button for phone calls. you could still use the phone without the spot and it just made it more laborious and it took a lot longer to hang up on phone calls as you had to search for the right touch screen function to end the phone calls. The rest of the phone seemed to work okay, but I did not want or order a phone in such terrible shape. This phone was clearly not a stated in the listing.

So I first contacted the seller, bidallies, to get this corrected. They told me I was wrong and that they had shipped to me the phone as described in the listing. They basically told me I was a liar and that I was screwed. I was mad and so I filed a claim with the Ebay buyer protection that was clearly listed on the auction listing below the buy now button.

Ebay got back to me fairly quickly, but they said I was outside of their programs timelines because I had waited over 45 days to file. I only did that because it took the seller bidallies so long to ship it to me. At first, as I said earlier, they gave me excuses and it would be here within a week. Then they made up some stuff about a storm overseas and something about a family member being really sick. I was new to Ebay and this was my first purchase there. I sent eBay all the e-mails and they didn’t care (Read up on the Ebay buyer protection program so this doesn’t happen to you).

The other mistake apparently I made was I paid for it with a debit card. If I had paid for the HTC Imagio phone with a credit card I would have been able to file a charge back still, but being that it was a debit card my bank, Bank of America, wouldn’t do anything form me (don’t bank with Bank of America as they suck). So now I am stuck with a phone that looks horrible and has a button that doesn’t work and I’m basely screwed out of $100 by this seller bidallies.

I learned my lesson here – do not buy from Bidallies as they will lie and scam you. Also be wary of eBay and their supposedly great buyer protection.

Recently there’s been a lot of updates to online search engines like Google. in the past two months Google has rolled out one of their biggest updates to date – Penguin. this update is far more reaching than any other update in their history. Millions of people were negatively affected with the Penguin update and many of them did absolutely nothing wrong – they were innocent victims and may have even been Google bowled.

If you don’t know what Google bowling is its when someone that practices negative SEO creates thousands of bad links to someone’s website in the hopes of getting it de-ranked or unlisted from Google. You could have a website that ranks in the top five for thousands of keywords that is over 10 years old and someone comes along and creates a ton of spammy back links from questionable or bad neighborhood websites and as soon as Google crawls your website you are nowhere to be found ranking wise.

DuckDuckGo clearly provides better search results then Google search.

for many people, especially small website owners trying to make it by with an internet business, this can be the death blow. Fortunately, Google may no longer stay or keep their top ranking as the number one search engine. In the past there has been competition from Yahoo and Bing mostly and this didn’t affect Google at all as Google grew by leaps and bounds to become the number one search engine with over 75 to 80% of all total search traffic.

Now, there are some new upstart search engines which are gaining ground fast. There is a reason for this. Google search has become corrupted. When you search for something on their search engine you no longer find what you want in the first page of results. They have it littered with ads all over the place (which they even try and hide among the true search results which I think is deceptive business practices) and local, news, YouTube results and more all mixed in.

When I search for something (like headlight restoration kit) I want results that show me exactly what I am looking for. I don’t want or like results for what Google thinks I am looking for because 99% of the time that’s incorrect. Google has no idea what I’m looking for lately and this Penguin update along with the previous Panda one clearly shows this. But there’s good news – Google has hit its apex and it’s time for it to go the wayside like Altavista did. There is a new search engine called DuckDuckGo which provides a much better quality search.

The search results come much faster with DuckDuckGo as they are not bogged down with news results, YouTube results, images, etc… All these add-ons to Google search weigh it down tremendously and they hide the true results I am looking for. There is also no bunch of ads to hide or obfuscate the true search results on DuckDuckGo. And there’s far less spam. Google search results tend to be taken over by spammers and scammers.

Don’t get spam or get scammed. Use a search engine that is not corrupted by profits and illegal business behaviors (Google got caught misbehaving by the FTC and is due in court next June to answer on corruption and anti-trust behavior) Try it and see for yourself there’s only one ad at the top and it’s clear and easy to see it from the rest of the results. They don’t try and blend it in with the search results to make you click on stuff you may not be interested in like Google does.

When I search for anything with DuckDuckGo I pretty much find exactly what I’m looking for and much faster than on Google. I think we have finally found a search engine that gets it right after all these years – DuckDuckGo. Hoards of internet searchers are making the switch to DuckDuckGo for faster, better results. Google has become weighted down with stuff we don’t need or want most of the time. DuckDuckGo provides far better results with less spam and scams. It’s better. Try it and see for yourself. I’m sure after just a few searches you will be sold on using DuckDuckGo over Google.

The UNCC campus police morons are at it again - arresting and harassing students for simple possession of marijuana!

I happened to be reading the Niner Times (the student newspaper for UNCC in Charlotte, NC) when, once again I noticed that the campus police were out harassing students. Two more students got charged with possession of marijuana. This is disgusting – the campus police could be out looking for real crime yet, instead they are out harassing students for what really shouldn’t be a crime.

I mean, come on, this is UNCC. It is a 4 year college and our school colors are marijuana leaf green. Pot or marijuana (if you want to call it that) is very common on college campuses nationwide. Everyone knows 75% or more of the professors and staff and probably 80% or more of the students routinely smoked marijuana. That even includes members of the board and/or the chancellors.

Very soon medical marijuana will become legalized in North Carolina. It’s not a matter of if, but when. The police, police union and pharmaceutical companies are going all out with lobbying and all sorts of lies to stop the passage of medical marijuana laws. Why are they doing this? the answer is simple – medical marijuana is passed in this state that would make over 17 states with medical marijuana laws. What they’re afraid of is that once we hit 26 states that complete legalization of marijuana will soon occur.

Their theory there is correct as marijuana is far less destructive than alcohol or cigarettes and has actual proven and clinically tested health benefits. Did you know that marijuana has been proven to shrink and even kill off tumor cells? That it is a highly effective treatment for ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder), OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder), Depression, epilepsy, migraines and pain management, etc… the list is very long and growing.

The police and police unions are worried that if marijuana becomes legalized more than half of the police and sheriff deputies out there along with members of the DEA and other related law enforcement officials will be out of work as they will no longer be needed. It is common knowledge that between 60 and 80% of all inmates are in jail for simple possession of marijuana. That costs taxpayers billions of dollars and people that smoke marijuana are harmless for the most part – that is a sorry and sad waste of billions of dollars that could be put towards education, healthcare and other good uses.

Big Pharma on the other hand is worried because if marijuana becomes legalized then why would people pay $100 or more a month for their expensive pills when they can instead grow their own more effective medicine? Big pharmaceutical companies are lining up right now to pad Washington politicians fundraising donation coffers with money in return for slowing down and impeding the process of marijuana legalization. This is wrong and it’s packed full of lies. It’s not about what’s best for the patient it’s about what’s best for big Pharma’s pockets and profits. And it can be summed up best in one word – corruption.

Now what does that have to do with the moronic, low IQ campus cops at UNCC? Rather than fighting real crime and doing some that might make them break a sweat they instead go after students and harass them over simple possession. So in retaliation what I am doing is publishing their stupidity (the moronic UNCC campus police) for the whole world to see. Eventually the campus police or if they’re not intelligent enough the Chancellor and board will put a stop to this harassment of the college students as they will find it’s not worth the negative publicity that I and others are going to bring down on them.

As to the latest arrests the UNCC police morons arrested Conrad James and Shawn Winks at Moore Hall for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. These charges according to the paper are misdemeanors in both cases. If only the UNCC police knew that 75% or more of the students and about the same number of faculty and staff smoke marijuana regularly they would see that arresting and harassing UNCC college students is a waste of time.

I wonder what they would do if every college student at UNCC decided to openly smoke marijuana on campus? They couldn’t possibly arrest 15,000 to 20,000 students. Besides some of those students like myself are politically connected and could easily affect UNCC’s police force and budget in a very negative fashion.

With that said I will end this article with one message to the UNCC campus police morons, “Get a life and stop harassing students for marijuana possession. If you don’t I will just continue to crank up the heat and I will never go away. Eventually the chancellor will be having a talk with the head of the UNCC campus police morons and they will be given a list of restrictions to include harassing of students for simple marijuana possession.”

And one message for college students and people for medical marijuana and marijuana legalization everywhere – get involved and make a difference! Use your social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc…) and pass stuff like this around so our cause becomes viral! Once that happens the campus police, state legislature, feds, etc… will be forced to stop harassing people for simple possession of marijuana and eventually to repeal the prohibition on marijuana. The stats and Ben Huh's claims don't add up...

I am a student at UNCC (the University of North Carolina at Charlotte) and there was another free speaker forum just this past night. This one was to be with the founder/owner of Icanhascheezburger.com and Failblog.org. I wanted to go because I have numerous websites I own and I figured I might learn some valuable information from Mr. Huh. I, unfortunately, was very wrong (I’ll explain this in a minute).

The event was to start at 7pm at McKnight Hall in the Cone Center. It started with this girl clearly reading word for word off her script as she was introducing Ben Huh (she could clearly benefit from taking some public speaking classes and joining the UNCC Toastmasters group) – very boring intro. Anyways, then Ben Huh came forward and greeted the crowd. Ben is easy to identify with his white framed glasses.

Ben started in by telling about his main website Icanhascheezburger.com and what they do to drive traffic. He threw out numbers like 30 million users per month, profitable during the recession, etc… This all sounded good and I had seen his main website once or twice before and I nearly got a fair amount of traffic – I didn’t know his website was in the top 100 in the world (30 million users per month gets you in at the bottom of this prestigious group).

So I listened to the rest of his speech and there wasn’t any real information on starting a website, advertising, or basically how to do anything. It was reminiscent of Robert Kiyosaki real estate investment meeting – you know the kind where they don’t give you much but generalities and then they promote their expensive DVD collection, private seminars, etc… Well, at least he wasn’t trying to hawk or sell anything to the UNCC students. But you could tell when Ben Huh finished that they all had many questions.

When it was over I found myself asking – “huh?” but he answered the huh earlier during his speech when he said he didn’t start this website Icanhascheezeburger. Instead he bought it from another guy. And supposedly he bought it when I had 1 million users per month. According to Ben Huh it now has over 30 million users per month. I also asked him after the speech if the recent Panda and other updates from Google had any effect on his websites – his reply was no and that they were actually better off after these updates.

His response to my question really sent alarm off to me that this guy was potentially full of crap. The last two or three updates from Google hit every body across every niche. Google has an ulterior motive for doing this – it’s for profitability. What they’re trying to do is make it so SEO (Search Engine Optimization) no longer works and you need to use SEM (Search Engine Marketing) which is primarily Google Adsense and costs more then it is worth 90% of the time. Google clearly has a monopoly on Internet search and is now clearly exhibiting illegal, anti-competitive behavior and needs to be broken up under antitrust legislation, but Google’s anti-competitive behavior is another subject I’ll talk about at another time.

Being that Ben Huh told me that they had no effect other than that he was supposedly better off after the last series of Google search updates, I needed to do a little more research in this. When I got home I did a quick little bit of research (due diligence) on Ben Huh and his websites and I quickly got some very interesting facts. First, his best websites are Icanhascheezeburger.com and Failblog.org and these websites were both rocked by Google in the past 12 months with a loss of over 48% of all traffic across both websites. Failblog.org had a high of 1.4 million users per month at the start of the past 12 months and as of this past month (March) traffic had dropped all the way to 832,000 users per month.

Here are the true stats for Ben Huh's website Failblog from Compete.com.

I found this same information on numerous authority sites on the Internet (Compete.com, Ranking.com, etc…) Now there are numerous problems with this. First, Ben Huh, greatly exaggerated the night traffic to his websites. Failblog.org is currently running at 832,000 users per month and dropping fast. His other website, Icanhascheezeburger.com, had a high of 1.2 million users per month and then dropped to 848,000.

These are his best websites, so if you add both of them together you end up with 1.6 million users per month and dropping fast. Now 1.6 million users per month is still good for a growing or fledgling website. But Mr. Huh himself clearly stated that he has over 30 million users per month. That is an exaggeration of almost 30 times the true amount! That’s not even close to being truthful.

Then you quip that with the fact that he told the students that he bought this website, Icanhascheezburger.com, when it had over 1 million users per month. Now he may have many years ago reached a peak of 30 million users, but the problem is that his website’s dependence on pictures of cats with neat little wordings and quips is and was a fad.

People have become bored of these cat pictures. The web has so much out there and new websites and ideas are turning up almost on a daily basis, so basically what’s happened here is that people that used to go to Icanhascheezburger.com and Failblog are leaving for other, better websites. This is most likely why he has not gone public with his company – no one wants to invest in a dying fad (One student asked about why he wasn’t or didn’t go public and his response was that he just wanted to stay private – yeah, right – I’m sure he would be glad to sell if someone would take him off of his dying website and fads).

One also has to question his profitability. I don’t know about you but if I had just lost 48% or more of my traffic which relates directly to advertising revenue (a 48% drop in traffic means a 48% or higher drop in advertising revenue – it can be higher as advertising companies tend to use lower paying ads on websites with faltering traffic) and is Ben Huh’s primary source of income I wouldn’t be profitable. Then if you go back farther with the site’s stats you will see they have been losing readers and users for years – a very bad sign…

Now on another note, Mr. Huh is a fairly interesting and good speaker, he just doesn’t have much to teach anyone if you can stick with the websites Icanhascheezburger.com and Failblog.org. students that went to this speaking event to learn something about websites, Internet advertising, monetizing websites, etc… were sorely disappointed. I think the school (UNCC) needs to do a better job of looking into the speakers and ferreting out the ones that are worthless or in some cases bullshit.

At least the good thing is that he wasn’t trying to sell anything for the students. I can only wonder what the school ended up paying Mr. Ben Huh for his basically worthless but semi-entertaining speech. It was a complete waste of time.

The Maille massacre was a horrible atrocity and it may finally get justice served 70 years later!

Have you ever heard of the name Maille? It can often times be found spelled slightly differently like Maillie, Maille, Mallie and similar. The name even has a mustard named after it – Maille mustard which can be found at finer grocery stores worldwide. I have even found it at Walmart. But the mustard business is not why I’m writing this – the Maille massacre which occured at the end of World War 2 is.

For many years the Maille massacre was either covered up or not given much attention. Yet a whole town was murdered. For years they didn’t have enough proof to continue an investigation and possibly criminal charges for the perpetrators. But, recently the matter has been reopened in German courts where justice might eventually be served for the atrocities that occured.

What atrocities you might ask? in 1944 German SS and other forces decided to take out their anger for an earlier loss and killed (slaughtered) 124 innocent, unarmed people in the village of Maille. This included 42 women and 44 children. Many were babies and toddlers. Some women were even pregnant. The barbaric German troops didn’t care. They raped, killed, dismembered, etc… over 124 innocent people. They also destroyed the city and left it in ruins.

Finally, many years later justice might finally be served as Germany is investigating the crimes and the atrocity of the Maille massacre. In France this would mean nothing as war crimes have a 30 year statute of limitations, but in Germany there is no cap on war crime investigations. So, where in the USA people are mad that it took 45 days to charge Zimmerman with Trayvon Martin’s murder, here in France it has taken 70 years to get justice for a town where whole families to include women and children were wiped out one by one in full view of each other.

I see Al Sharpton got on the media and local prosecutors case with the Trayvon Martin case but he had to tone himself down a little when he found out that Zimmerman was half Hispanic – his normal racism claims would have definitely caused potential race riots and an enemy much larger than he could ever have imagined with the evergrowing Hispanic population. I have a question for you Al Sharpton – if you really are out there to seek justice for cases of injustice where have you been for the last 70 years with the Maille massacre?

This clearly is a huge case of injustice. German troops force their will, way and retribution or anger on these innocent town folk that are mostly farmers subsiding off the earth. These people hurt no one. They weren’t thrown out of school or suspended, nor were they up to no good – they were innocent victims raped, dismembered, killed by Germans because they were conveniently there and unarmed. They even surrounded the town and shot any survivors and then bombed it all to make sure no one survived – that is as sick as it gets.

Oh, I’m sorry, these aren’t black folk in this town, right? Actually rumor has it that a few were. So, Rev. Al Sharpton, why don’t you get involved with a case that involves more atrocities, sick crimes and more than all of the cases you have ever been involved in times 10 or more? Oh, I’m sorry, there’s no racism involved, just sick war crimes. Well, with most things Al Sharpton gets involved with there is no racism either – he just stirs the pot and creates it where there was none to begin with.

Don’t let this atrocity get swept under the rug again and forgotten. Remember the innocent victims of the town of Maille and their horrible massacre in the hands of the Nazi SS and others.

I keep getting these annoying phone calls from this number 1(314)627-5556 each and every day lately. It started with them calling me once or twice a day, but then it quickly progressed to up to five calls per day and some of them within 10 or 15 minutes of the previous call.

On my caller ID it shows up as “Contact Center”. Normally with calls like this that are most likely from telemarketers I just don’t answer the phone and eventually they go away. This one is so annoying that I actually picked up the phone several times to tell them off and I found out that each time there is no one there and it just automatically hangs up on me.

What on earth could be the purpose of calling people to just hang up on them? This is harassment and if it continues I will report it to my state attorney general in Raleigh, NC. I cannot believe the gall of whatever company this is calling people like me repetitively numerous times each day just to hang up or disconnect on us – that is just rude and should be illegal.
