Meineke Review – a great place if you need a car repair

I had a great experience at Meineke

I was in a fender bender recently and needed to get my front wheels realigned. I had heard very good things about Meineke, and how they are very honest. I just can’t stand it when repair shops try to sell you extra stuff for your car they don’t need to make a quick dollar of peoples lack of car knowledge.

I called Meineke ahead of time to see how much it would cost along with how long it would be to complete the repair. The man on the phone was very nice and he said it would be $70 for the front end, and be approximately 90 minutes to get the car in the queue and finish the repair. I thought this was a competitive price, and 90 minutes wasn’t too long. I had a ride home for the wait so I wasn’t stranded there.

It had been a little over 2 hours and I finally got a phone call saying they were finished with me repair. It took about 30 minutes longer than they projected, but I was not in a hurry to go anywhere so I didn’t mind.

I had a friend of mine drop me off at Meineke to pick up my car. There was no wait at the desk and I was able to get my key right away. They said that the car was all set and only needed a front wheel alignment. What was very nice was that they didn’t try to sell me any extra services or parts I didn’t need. I was very grateful for that.

I took my car out on the road and it seemed be running perfectly again. My car was no longer drifting to the left, and there was no more rattling in the steering wheel. I was very happy with the service they performed.

I would definitely recommend Meineke to anyone that needs a car repair. They are honest, and hard working people there. The won’t try to sell you anything that you don’t need either. I am very happy with my experience at Meineke.

I think Meineke sucks. They are just as bad as Monroe and they will f*ck up your car. I took my Ford Explorer to them because the check engine light was on. They said it was the oxygen sensor that needed replacing. I was okay with that, but by the time they were done the radiator hose had burst (I looked at it prior to approving any additional work and noticed that it hadn’t actually burst, but it looked to have been cut probably by a Meineke employee) and that the air filter was missing (yeah, right – how does an air filter just go missing – I noticed that their was a air filter the exact same size and look as the one that had been in my truck in the nearby garbage can – must be the employees of Meineke aren’t too brite as they should have done a better job hiding the air filter). After I made a big stink about how they must have cut the hose they did fix it, and then I took my truck elsewhere to be fixed. How can you trust a auto repair shop (either meineke or monroe muffler) that tries to scam their customers and that you catch point blank trying to rip you off? Avoid both Meineke and Monroe Muffler. They are the worst car repair stores out there.
