I was in a recent accident accident where I fractured my wrist. I went to the emergency Raleigh because I was out of town, and was instructed to see an orthopedic when I got back to Charlotte, NC. So I called up and made an appointment.
Many orthopedics have long waits before you can get in to see a physician, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they could fit me in the next day. They also were very flexible with their scheduling. I wasn’t locked into a fixed time that was inconvenient for me if I wanted to see someone immediately.
So I went the next day and pulled in to their convenient location on North Tryon Street. This building was pretty new, I remember driving by it when they were constructing it some time earlier. When I walked in the first thing I noticed how nice the place was. The floors were immaculately clean, and was decorated with warm and welcoming colors. I did not feel intimidated at all being in there for the first time.
I was greeted at the front desk by the receptionist and she checked me in. Since it was my first time there I had to fill out some paperwork for them to file. It wasn’t much so I filled it out right at the front desk as the receptionist briefed me on their policies.
I got about halfway through the paperwork and my name was called to be seen. This was phenomenal service. I took some of the paperwork with me to fill out in the room while I waited for the doctor to see me.
As I walked back through the facility to the room I could not help but notice had nice this place looked. I was very impressed with how well maintained this facility was, from front to back. The nurse was also very courteous as she took me back to take my vitals.
The doctor came in not long after to come diagnose my wrist, and decide what I needed. It turned out that I needed to be put in a cast for 4 weeks, until it healed. He was very knowledgeable and didn’t talk down to me like many doctors do.
I really thought my experience at OrthoCarolina was fantastic. I would definitely rate this experience an A+. OrthoCarolina has a great facility, friendly staff, and knowledgeable doctors. Even though I don’t wish to be back under circumstances of injury, I will definitely use them again if I am hurt and need to see an orthopedic.
