I was on Vacation in Orlando with my family and we all decided we wanted to play mini golf. We looked up some different mini golf courses in the area and we found Pirate Cove Mini Golf. We read up a little bit on the place and decided to try it out.
The place was very easy to get to. It was right off I-4 in Orlando. It was a little later in the night so it wasn’t crowded at all. We were able to walk right up and play. The place was a little expensive though. It was $10 a person to play, $9 for a child to play. My kids were older so none of us qualified for the discounted rate.
I was thinking to myself that this better some great mini golf for $40. The had two courses to play. One was described as the harder course and the other the easier course. We were only recreational mini golfers so we went wit the easier course. We walked up a few stairs and approached the first hole and began our round.
They weren’t joking when they said it was the easier course. The first 10 or 11 holes were very elementary in difficulty. We flew through the first half, but the second half of the course was more challenging. Personally I liked the more challenging holes.
As we went through the course I was pretty impressed with how well the course was put together. The pirate stuff was very detailed. They had many waterfalls running throughout the course too which were nice until I took a closer look. There was some nasty green slime in the water. It looked like that water hadn’t been cleaned in years.
Overall we all had a good time playing but I’m not sure I would rush back there due to the price. Maybe next time we will do a little more research and try some place new to play. However, I would say that this place is worth playing one time.
