I hate scammers and spammers. I thought they were just staying with Ebay and Amazon auction services, but now they have expanded to even trying to hijack Google Adwords accounts. That’s right, Google Adwords accounts – why, I don’t know, because Google is pretty good at policing their accounts (far better then Ebay or Amazon.com).
Besides, what is one of these black hat morons going to do with a hijacked Google Adwords Account? Run some ads for a few hours on their scam sites until either they are reported or Google catches them? If and when Google catches them they will then have their website(s) delisted for fraud – a very heavy penalty that certainly makes this sort of crime not worth it at all.
The only other reason is they want access to an account holders personal information (credit card number). I think that the only personal info that Google Adwords has besides the credit card number is one’s name and address. Unless someone was dumb enough to use their bank account to pay. Then they would have routing and checking account numbers. Please tell me everyone out there is wise enough to at least not use their banking account info for their Google Adsense or other similar online accounts.
Anyway here is the email I received from these morons:

Please note: If you do not verify the status of your Adwords account and notify us if your ads do not appear online we can not help you and your ads will stay offline for the next few days.
