Sliders Bar Review – The food was good, but a bit overpriced

Sliders sports bar was a bit overpriced

I wanted to go out and watch the Monday Night Football Game last night with some friends. There are a lot of sports bars in town, but a friend of mine suggested we try Sliders because it was so close. Since we just had a blizzard the roads weren’t completely cleared I agreed with staying local.

We pulled in the and place was packed. We were lucky that we got the last spot in the parking lot. When we walked in there weren’t many tables up near the bar so we grabbed one in the back. It took a little while for our waitress to come over to take our order, but it was understandable since the place was busy for the football game.

She came over and took our drink orders and I asked if they any drink specials. She said they had $4.00 Bud Light drafts, and that was it. I had her repeat herself because I was in disbelief. Those weren’t much of a special. $3.50 was a bit pricey for just a Bud Light. We ordered a round anyways, along with some wings.

While we waited we watch the game. I was pretty impressed with the amount of HD TV’s they had. Just about everywhere you sat you had a good view of at least one or two TV’s. We watch the game, and the food arrived about 20 minutes after the order.

The wings we ordered were pretty hot. So we took our team eating them. However they were very tasty. I was a little upset that I wasn’t allowed to split up the flavors in my order though. I could only get one flavor per order. So if I wanted to try two different kinds I would have to spend more money to get the same amount of wings. That part was kind of a rip off.

Overall my experience there was mediocre. The food was good, but the drinks and food were a bit overpriced in my opinion. The atmosphere of the sports bar was pretty good though. There was a lot going on, and had lots of HD TV’s. I might come back for big sporting event, but I don’t plan on making it a place to eat or drink regularly.
