Smoothie King Review – this place had high prices and low quality smoothies

My smoothie really was sub par for what I paid.

It was a hot day here in the spring and was really craving a smoothie. I had a gift card for $10 at Smoothie King and thought it would be a good place to go. I had never been before but had been meaning to go since I had this gift card in my wallet for a long time now.

I got there and there wasn’t a line. The employees looked pretty bored sitting behind the counter. I told them a I needed a minute to decide while I looked over the menu. The menu was very extravegant and confusing. I just wanted a simple strawberry smoothie but couldn’t get anything with less than 3 different items in it. It was very annoying.

After about 5 minutes my friend and I decided upon what we wanted to get. I decided to go with this cherry banana pomegranate smoothie, and my buddy got a strawberry kiwi mixture. Most of the menu didn’t look very appealing, so we did the best we could picking out what we could.

The smoothies were made pretty fast which was nice. There was almost no wait time at all. They just filled up the blenders with the different ingredients and blended it for about 20-30 seconds. I noticed they had a really easy job cleaning it out too. The just rinsed out the blender top with a high powered sink/hose and it was all clean again. The operations at this place were really very simple.

Anyways we got our smoothies and we got rung up at the register. I was shocked when I was told the price. It was 12 dollars for 2 small smoothies?!?! That is ridiculous to charge that much for a small. I don’t care how good the smoothies are thats just dumb. So I had to pay 2 dollars on top of the 10 dollar gift card I already had which I wasn’t expecting.

We started drinking the smoothies and we both weren’t really impressed. I mean they didn’t taste bad but for the price we expected something spectacular. I have had a lot of other smoothies that have tasted a lot better and costs a lot less. I don’t think I’ll be back there any time soon. It really wasn’t that good.

Well the smalls were only $4 in my town but that’s still a horrible price, and the medium is $6 and large $8, and the large is about the size of a $1 powerade. Smoothie was good, but I’ll stick to my nearest ice-cream place for some dessert.
