I was in the market for a new mini fridge for my college dorm room and tried looking at Target to see if I could find one. Unfortunately they didn’t have a very good selection so I decided to go to the Walmart on North Tryon in Charlotte, NC.
I pulled in and the parking lot was packed. There was a line just to get into the parking lot. I thought this was a bit ridiculous since it was 1 o’clock in the afternoon. I finally found a spot way in the back of the lot and walked in.
I must have walked around the store for over a 30 minutes looking for the mini fridge section and still couldn’t find what I was looking for. This store was so poorly organized, and the signs didn’t tell me anything. I finally asked an associate and that didn’t get me anywhere either.
I approached an older man to ask him where I could find the mini fridges. He turned around and he looked like a homeless man. He had a scraggly beard and was missing a few teeth. I had to do a double take to make sure he had a name tag, and he actually worked there.
He wasn’t very helpful. It took him a while to even find them. There wasn’t much of a selection here either. There were only three to choose from. Some of them weren’t even in their boxes. It was a really poor presentation of their product. I didn’t feel very confident buying any of them. However There was the exact one I was looking for at a low price so I got it anyways.
Waiting in line to check out took forever too. There had to be a line 15 people deep at every register. There were only 5 or 6 lines open. You would think that they would have more lanes open if there were ridiculous lines backed up into the store. This was just adding to my horrible experience at this Walmart.
I don’t plan on coming back to this Walmart any time soon. This was by far the worst Walmart experience I have ever had. However, I can’t say that I have had many good experiences at Walmart ever. It is just a horrible company. I shop elsewhere whenever I can.
