I happened to be walking through the kitchen utensil isles at TJ Maxx in the Concord Mills Mall and I happened upon these two bags of lollipops. The bag stated that the lollipops were organic and made with real fruit extracts. Then I read in the ingredients on the back that there was no sugar or fructose corn sweetener.
They use real cane juice and organic tapioca or rice syrup. I liked this. Corn syrup is really bad and is used in almost every sweet product available at the local grocery store, but this used real ingredients. It also stated that Phil Lampert (the Today show food editor) stated that these were the best lollipops ever. So I had to give them a try.
Besides my kids really wanted them anyway. They also hadd some really cool sounding flavors – wet-face watermelon, too berry blueberry, sour apple tart, pomegranate pucker, mango tango, googly grape, strawberry smash and very, very cherry. The package was also stamped USDA organic and stated that there was no artificial dyes or flavors used.
When we left the store the kids couldn’t wait to have one of these lollipops. They grabbed one each and they told us right away that they were great. The youngest one likes Dum Dum lollipops, but said these were his new favorites. They all loved their lollipops and wanted more when those were done.
I had to try one and the first one I tried was the very, very cherry and guess what? It was really awesome. I can’t remember having had a better tasting lollipop ever. These Yummy Earth lollipops are really that good. Later that night I had a sour apple tart pop and that one was also extremely tasty.
These lollipops are so good you could actually have one after another. What I also really liked is the fact that a big bag of these lollipops was $4.99 at TJ Maxx. When I told an ex-girlfriend of mine about these great lollipops (yes, we don’t date anymore and are best friends instead) she told me they were selling them in the same sized bag at her local organic supermarket for almost $9. I basically got them for half off.
These are great lollipops and will easily be some of the best lollipops you have ever had. So, if you see a bag onsale at your local TJ Maxx you better snatch it up before someone else does.
